The request
A safe pedestrian crossing is needed. There is a retirement village on one side of the road and a playground on the other, so there is no safe way for grandparents to walk to the park.
Suggestions
1) A path to the edge of the road on each side already exists near the bakery, and this position allows for good vision of oncoming vehicles in both directions. We suggest putting an island in the middle of the road (there are three lanes at this point) allowing people to cross one lane at a time.
2) Outside the Wy Yung Pub, directly across to the playground. We are not confident that there is sufficient vision for this option.
